Christmas Cones!

Still in a Chrismassy mood, I made a couple of cone shaped mini gift boxes, great for small things like sweeties...YUM...I was inspired by one in a copy of 'Cards and Crafts for Christmas' by 'Simply Cards and Papercraft'.

So far I have made two of these, a blue themed one and a pink and green one.

The pattern was from the magazine, and I just covered them with christmas patterned papers.

To finish off, some glitter down the edges, punched out snowflakes and a ribbon handle.

Star Wreath!!

Well, only a few months and then its CHRISTMAS! Woooo!!!...LOL....So i thought i'd get into the christmas spirit a bit early by making a star wreath to hang on the tree.
The star shape is the middle sized one on the star Sizzix die, cut out 10 stars in various, matching colours and patterns. Then I stuck the stars onto two card circles, made using Nestabilities, to give it a bit of strength.
And to finish I added cute buttons, a green ribbon to hang it on and drew a stitched pattern along the edge of the stars to give it that 'homemadey feel'.

Gingerbread Cookies!!

Well, after a brilliant holiday and not quite so brilliant first few weeks in Year 11, I'm back with my first post for September. I said that I would make a card with the Gingerbread Cookies downloadable papers by Tinker & Co, that I won last month, from the Penny Black Saturday Challenge!....so here it is.

The papers and the cute gingerbread man are from the Gingerbread Cookies downloadable pack. The plain circle and the scalloped circle are cut out using Nestabilities, then I added some sweet buttons, ribbon, happy christmas and of course, GLITTER!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

This is my first ever blog challenge i've done, the card had to feature snow, i chose the cute Penny Black stamp 'Lighting Up' and put snow falling in the background and under the cute lil' hedgehogs feet using stickles glitter glue.
The backing paper was from a K&Co mat stack, i watercolured the image, used Penny Black text on a muted green background.
For the finishing touches i added a red/green bow and green gems!

Elephant ATC!

Elephants are another of my favourite animals, so couldn't resist to make an ATC when i found the stamp in the drawer.
Again, the background was done with chalk ink pads, the flowers around the edge also stamped with a chalk pad, and added bling.
You gotta love stick on gems!
Details on the elephant done with metalic gel pens.
Hope you like!

Sunshine On A Rainy Day!

Last post of the day...a bright sunshine to brighten up your day...thats if its been anything like mine...very dull and rainy..=(
For the background i used chalk pads, Anita's sunshine stamp, and bright, happy embelishments. =D
Hope you like it and hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow!

One in a Million!

I made this yummy green card for my lovely mum...i mean..c'mon...who doesn't like green!?!...its so bright and happy!..
I used scraps of ribbon for the background and the words, flower and tag were out of a mixed tin...i think the make was K&Co. They come in really handy for space fillers and extras for both cards and scrapbooks.
Hope you like it...

Birthday Cake Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for a friend that moved away last year...=(
I used funky, bright coloured papers in the backround, cake stamp, gems, ribbon and glitter!!!!
Oooooh, i lurrrrrv glitter!!
Quite an easy make...but i think it looks effective and am very pleased with the result =)

Grandad Birthday Card

This is a plain and simple birthday card. Like most people i struggle with mens cards but i think this one turned out ok.
I used a blue and green theme, textured card and patterned paper for the background. The sizzix letters are curlie girlie...(seems a bit inappropiate for this card, but i think it works!!).
The 'happy birthday' was cut out of a piece of backing paper.
